The EDMONTON MODEL BOAT RACING (1990) ASSOCIATION (E.M.B.R.A.) has been going strong for over 25 years and is a registered society and a member of the NORTH AMERICAN MODEL BOAT ASSOCIATION (N.A.M.B.A.) - District 16, which includes all of the clubs in Canada.

There are a number of sanctioned races each year in the district. The district races are divided between Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg with racers coming to participate from Alberta, B.C.,Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Montana.  We have often hosted the N.A.M.B.A. CANADIAN NATIONALS.

Many of our members also attend the N.A.M.B.A. NATIONALS held each year in the United States.

Each club carries site insurance which covers both the members and the spectators at the race site. All members are required to follow specific safety rules as outlined in the N.A.M.B.A. rule book.

E.M.B.R.A. holds monthly meetings on the second Sunday of each month except December. We welcome new members - membership fees are $25.00 per family (N.A.M.B.A. Membership fees are extra) - and invite interested people to visit us at one of our meetings ( call for meeting times and address).
