The intent of
Scale Unlimited Racing is to duplicate as authentically as possible the
American Power Boat Association (APBA) Unlimited Hydroplane class of
racing.
District 16 Scale Unlimited Racing Rules are intended as supplement to
the NAMBA Scale Unlimited Hydroplane Competition rules. The
supplemental rules cover registration and scale detail.
REGISTRATION:
1. A member wishing to race a scale
unlimited must register the boat(s) with the district scale
unlimited chairman. The purpose of registration is to keep a
record of what boats are being built and/or raced in the district.
2. Registered boats will be put on a development or
competition list (which will be available on our District 16 website).
The district scale unlimited chairman can assist a potential scale racer
with a selection of a hull.
3. In an attempt to avoid two or more of the same boat within the
district, members are asked to avoid duplication of any registered boat,
if possible. (Check the list).
4. A member can register as many boats as they wish. The only
restriction is the member must have a competition status hull first
before a second or more registrations will be accepted.
FEES FOR REGISTRATION:
1. There is a first-time registration fee of $10.00 per hull.
After that initial registration fee, there will be a yearly $5.00
registration renewal fee per hull.
2. Fees collected will be used for the purchase and maintenance of
trophies for the class.
